Caffeine for Cellulite? Here's what you must know

You know it can help get you going in the morning with a little cream and sugar. Who knew it could get cellulite “going” too?

Caffeine is a relatively inexpensive compound that can seriously reduce the appearance of cellulite.

How It Works

When ingested, caffeine works as a stimulant on the central nervous system. It gives you a little boost of energy and has even shown promise as a treatment for Parkinson’s disease, which affects the central nervous system. It’s even been linked to reducing tumors in mice exposed to high levels of ultra-violet radiation.

When applied topically caffeine has the ability to affect the fat content in cells.  It is believed that the caffeine interferes with the activity of a specific enzyme that stores human body fat. By inhibiting this enzyme your body can more easily burn off that fat, which is all cellulite is.

A Cellulite Fighting System

Almost all women regardless of size, activity level or ethnicity have some cellulite. So, you are in good company if you have a few of those ridges and bumps on your thighs or butt.

To keep cellulite to a minimum the best approach is to maintain a healthy body weight.  Regular physical activity will burn off excess fat and keep it from building up.  As we age this fat can press through the support bands beneath our skin. It’s natural for those support proteins to drop off in production and for our skin to thin as we get older, and that’s the time cellulite will start to make an appearance, even if you are relatively thin.

Lifestyle changes can help keep it to a minimum, but cellulite is also hereditary and may not be completely avoidable.  So in addition to keeping your weight in check you could use a lotion or cream with caffeine to help keep more fat from building up under the skin and marring its smooth surface.

A product like Bonapiel Anti Cellulite & Body Firming Cream with caffeine and retinol can really help reduce the appearance of cellulite.

The caffeine in the formula inhibits fat storage and helps flush excess water from your tissues, which has the effect of tightening skin. Bonapiel combines the caffeine with Retinol, which is an exfoliator that improves circulation and stimulates collagen production, needed for keeping skin smooth and firm.  That will help keep fat that does push up against your skin from below less noticeable.

The cream also includes RoseHip Seed Oil and Lactic acid to enhance the smoothing and firming effect on your skin that diminishes the orange-peel look and gives skin a healthy glow.

If you have cottage-cheese skin  you are not alone. You also don’t have to resign yourself to wearing a pants all summer or a long cover-up at the pool or beach. You can make a few lifestyle changes now like getting more exercise and eating more fruits and vegetable to keep cellulite in check and use a caffeinated product like Bonapiel Anti Cellulite & Body Firming Cream to have smooth radiant skin from head to toe.
